New Voices – Young Rep

On October 15th, BOLDtext Playwrights published 16 of our short plays on our website for theatre groups, drama courses, actors and others to use for free until April 15th 2025. To celebrate this, we worked with Becky Deeks (head of Young Rep) to read, discuss and perform 5 of the plays for an informal script-in-hand

New Voices

There’s nothing more uplifting for a writer than hearing your script read aloud by enthusiastic and talented actors who really ‘get’ it. That’s how it was for four BOLDtext Playwrights who joined a Young Rep session at Birmingham REP last night.   Facilitated by the REP’s Becky Deeks and Alice Chambers, the 10 young actors explored
